Juventus Sporting Director Giuseppe Marotta spoke to the media today before Juventus stepped onto the pitch in Athens against Olympiakos. The director assured fans the team was serene and was not sure if Buffon would be available against Inter on the weekend.

“There is no anxiety, as that is a negative emotion. There is concentration, respect for the opponents and naturally we want to be in the ideal conditions for this game,” Marotta told Mediaset Premium.

Gianluigi Buffon did not play tonight in Greece against Olympiakos, will he be available for the weekend clash against Inter.

“I hope Buffon can play against Inter this weekend. It’s a precautional stop after Friday’s game with Napoli, so it’s only right that he goes automatically into the stands. I have faith, as the medical staff are doing everything possible.

“The extraordinary run in Serie A at this moment is of Napoli and Inter. Our results have been more or less the same as at this stage last season, in fact we have one more point, so they are the ones doing unusual things.

“The important thing is to stay close to the leading pack and then prepare for the final sprint.”
