Claudio Lotito stresses that the situations of key players Keita Balde and Stefan De Vrij will be much clearer in the near future.
“Soon we will clarify everything, I have absolute faith in director of sport Igli Tare,” Lotito said to il Libero.
“The issue with Financial Fair Play is that there are equal norms in Europe, but at the local level they are all different. Our Serie A set some financial parameters to ensure the transparency of the competition: index of liquidity, of debt, cost of personnel and Financial Fair Play.
“When I say that we need a process of harmonisation of the norms among all the European clubs, I am above all referring to taxation issues, as there is too much disparity.
“It’s part of life, there will always be the poor and the millionaires, but sporting results are an amalgam of factors, among them investments, that lead to a successful project.
“I believe that within certain limitations, everyone should be put in the condition to express themselves at their best, differentiated by their philosophies. Then, may the best team win.”
Lazio are set to face Juventus on Sunday in the Supercoppa.
“I won’t make predictions for the Super Cup, but I am sure that if the team remains determined, united and hungry, they could have a great performance.
“I say very little to the players, as the real motivator is the Coach. I will speak to them before the game and expect to see the right level of healthy competitiveness.
“It’s not true to say Juventus have been weakened this season, as they have a ferocity without equal in Italy. They know how to get the best out of their players and the fact they lost a few important players does not mean they haven’t found others equally as strong.”
