It’s reported Gianluigi Buffon will be called-up for Italy’s two March friendlies, and he may not retire from the National team as previously believed.

Buffon played against Sweden in Italy’s playoff qualifiers and it was believed that they would be his final games for the Azzurri.

Buffon had stated that he would retire after this season but he appears to have changed his mind over the last few weeks.

Now Sky Italia reports that Azzurri interim coach Luigi Di Biagio will call the shot stopper for Italy’s two games in March.

It was originally believed that Buffon would play these games as a farewell to the Azzurri but it is now believed to not be the case.
