Brazilian Dani Alves will miss the first match of next year’s Coppa Italia after receiving a yellow card in the late stages of Wednesday’s final against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico. The right back, who was one card away from suspension going into the match, received his caution from official Tagliavento at the very end of the match. Since there are no games remaining in the current edition of the tournament, he will be forced to miss the first match next year after Sporting Judge Gerardo Mastandrea confirmed the suspension.
